Paul G. DeGregorio, MD

Dr. DeGregorio is a board certified ophthalmologist with a specialty in retina-vitreous medicine and surgery. He received his training at Boston University School of Medicine.
He went on to complete an ophthalmic residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine and followed with a fellowship in retina-vitreous medicine and surgery. He served as assistant clinical professor of Ophthalmology at the University of South Florida School of Medicine.

Corneal Specialist/Cataract Surgery

Erin S. Fogel, MD

Dr. Fogel is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cornea and external diseases. She performs cataract, cornea and LASIK surgeries including more complex intraocular lens exchanges in addition to general ophthalmology.

Dr. Fogel volunteered with Living in Faith in June 2018 to perform free medical and surgical eye care to patients in Haiti. These patients had limited or severely impaired vision. The surgery that Dr. Fogel and other providers at Living in Faith provided greatly improved their vision.

She has been with Concord Eye Center since 1994. Dr. Fogel graduated from Williams College receiving her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She received her residency training at the University of Chicago and went to complete two fellowships in cornea and external disease at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Corneal Associates of New Jersey.

Dr. Fogel is a member of several medical societies, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, The New England Ophthalmological Society and the New Hampshire Eye Physicians and Surgeons Society. She is the current President of Concord Eye Center. She lives in Bow, NH with her husband, Jeff and daughters Jessa and Samantha. She is an avid runner and cyclist and enjoys skiing and reading.

Retinal Specialist

Eliot D. Foley, MD

Dr. Foley graduated from Harvard University in 1993. He spent 2 years doing laboratory research at Children’s Hospital in Boston on retinal angiogenesis, and has co-authored several papers. He received his Medical Doctorate at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1999.

After a year of medical internship at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, NY, he completed his ophthalmology residency at Boston University in 2003. He co-authored a textbook titled Ophthalmic Office Procedures during his residency. He stayed on at Boston University and performed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery, which he completed in 2005. Prior to joining Concord Eye Care and simultaneous with his retinal fellowship, he also was an Instructor in Ophthalmology at the Boston VA Medical Center.

He is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of a wide variety of retinal disorders, with an emphasis on medical and surgical treatment of diabetic eye disease, macular pucker, macular hole, and retinal detachment surgery, and macular degeneration. He is currently the treasurer of the NH Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and a past President of Concord Eye Center. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is on staff at Concord Hospital.

He currently resides in Concord with his wife Ashlyn and their two children Tessa and Davis.

Bradford S. Hall, MD

Dr. Hall is a Concord native who graduated Summa cum Laude from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. He subsequently completed a one-year medical internship at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, New York, followed by a three-year Ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan’s Kellogg Eye Center in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Hall is a Board-Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with over 18 years of experience diagnosing and managing a wide variety of medical eye conditions. He utilizes the most advanced scanning laser techniques available to diagnose glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy,  macular degeneration, and other common eye disorders.  He performs laser treatment for narrow and open angle glaucoma, as well as capsular fibrosis, or “secondary cataracts.”

Dr. Hall is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the New Hampshire Medical Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He is also on staff at Concord Hospital.

Dr. Hall resides in Hopkinton with his wife Kiersten and their daughters Emma and Grace.

Pediatric Ophthalmology

Christie L. Morse, MD

Dr. Morse graduated from Yale University and received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina with a medical internship at the University of Massachusetts and a residency at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital. Following her residency, she performed a Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Fellowship at the Riley Children’s Hospital of Indiana University.

Since moving to New Hampshire in 1991, she served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon until 2000.

She has been a member of the New Hampshire Sight and Hearing Foundation Physician’s Advisory Committee, the New England Ophthalmological Society, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the International Strabistological Association, the NH Medical Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Morse is frequently asked to speak on pediatric ophthalmology issues throughout New England. She serves on the Board of Directors of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, the Ethics Committee of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Practicing Ophthalmology Advisory Committee on Education for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Morse is the current president of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and Women in Ophthalmology. She received the Secretariat award and an honor award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2006.

At Concord Eye Care, Dr. Morse practices Pediatric Ophthalmology as well as specializing in adult strabismus and diplopia patients.

Corneal Specialist/LASIK/Cataract Surgery

Tighe Curtis Richardson, DO

An expert in corneal refractive surgery (PRK, LASIK, etc.), cataract surgery, and corneal transplantation procedures, Dr. Richardson comes to Concord Eye Center from the USAF, where he most recently served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery departments at Keesler Medical Center, Keesler AFB, Mississippi. As a Lieutenant Colonel there, he supervised a cadre of 16 military/civilian/contract personnel and was responsible for the delivery of comprehensive surgical specialty care in the area of ophthalmology and refractive surgery to over 150,000 military members and their families in the Mississippi, Gulf Coast Region (Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana).

In the summer of 2018, Dr. Richardson deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operations Resolute Support and Freedom’s Sentinel.  There he acted as the sole Ophthalmologist in-country and member of the Trauma Head and Neck Team, providing clinical and surgical care for NATO, American, and Afghan coalition forces.

Dr. Richardson began his career in 2001 when he accepted a Health Profession Scholarship to become an Air Force Medical Officer. He attended Osteopathic Medical School at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He then completed his transitional internship at Providence Medical Center, in Southfield, Michigan. In 2006, he began his ophthalmology residency at the Naval Hospital San Diego, where he became the first “Navy-trained” AF ophthalmology resident. In 2008 he became the first DoD ophthalmology resident to take part in the Pacific Partnership Humanitarian Deployment, stationed aboard the USNS Mercy Hospital Ship. After graduation he reported to his first AF duty station at Wright-Patterson Medical Center, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio; where he quickly became a well versed refractive and cataract surgeon.

During his military career, Dr. Richardson has served in a variety of assignments to include, Chief of Ophthalmology (Wright Patterson AFB & Keesler AFB), Director of the Keesler Refractive Surgery Center (KAFB) and Aerospace Ophthalmology Consultant and Deputy Branch Chief, Aerospace Ophthalmology (Aeromedical Consultation Service, USAF School of Aerospace Medicine). He currently has transferred from active duty and is now a flight surgeon with the Air National Guard.

Dr. Richardson is a fellowship-trained Corneal Refractive Surgeon and Corneal Transplant Specialist. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of many professional societies. He is also an Associate Professor of Surgery at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine (Uniformed Services University), Wright-State University, University of NY SUNY, University of Buffalo School of Medicine, and Tulane University School of Medicine.

Lt Col Richardson is married to his wife Lindsay, a nurse, and has three children; Maxon, Mackenna, and Samuel. They love spending time with their two dogs, and are avid outdoors enthusiasts.  After years of moving from base to base, they are all very excited about settling down and becoming part of the Concord community.

Brett L. Smith, MD

Dr. Smith received his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and then completed a surgical internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.  Subsequently, he served as the surgeon to the army’s 4-7 Cavalry Squadron in South Korea.  Following that, he completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Walter Reed NMMC.  He has 9 years of service in the U.S. Army most recently at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA.

Dr. Smith is a Board-Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist experienced in providing cataract, refractive, glaucoma, oculoplastic, and trauma eye care.  He has particular interest in refractive surgery with experience in laser refractive surgery, LASIK and PRK, as well as providing premium multifocal, extended depth of focus, and toric intraocular lenses for cataract surgery and refractive lens exchange.

Dr. Smith is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.  He is also an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Smith lives in New Hampshire with his wife Stephanie and their children Onalee, Sayre, and KJ.

Mark A. Szal, MD

Dr. Szal graduated from Amherst College, Massachusetts, and received his medical degree from the University of Rochester. After working as a research biologist at the National Institute of Health’s National Eye Institute, he completed a surgical internship at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He then practiced General Medicine at a walk-in clinic in Maryland. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Szal joined ORBIS, a charity organization, and taught Ophthalmology in developing nations for a year. Upon his return to the U.S., Dr. Szal worked as a Locum Tenens for a year and a half in Pittsburgh, PA; Anchorage, AK; Monroe, WI; Sault St. Marie, MI; Plymouth, NH; Wellsboro, PA; and Tuscaloosa, AL.

Dr. Szal is a Board-Certified General Ophthalmologist with a special interest in the medical and laser treatment of glaucoma, cataract, and diabetic eye diseases. He utilizes the most advanced scanning laser techniques to diagnose glaucoma and macular disease, and performs laser surgery and “no-stitch” cataract surgery.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the New England Ophthalmological Society, the New Hampshire Medical Society, and the New Hampshire Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. He is on staff at Concord Hospital.

David A. Weinberg, MD, FACS

After the completion of a six-year biomedical program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College, Dr. Weinberg obtained his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. This was followed by fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology at Michigan State University and Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. He then completed a fellowship in oculofacial plastic surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute of UCLA in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Weinberg was chief of the ophthalmic plastic surgery and neuro-ophthalmology services and fellowship director at Fletcher Allen Health Care and the University of Vermont for over ten years, followed by a two-year associate professorship at the University of Utah’s Moran Eye Center.

Dr. Weinberg specializes in all aspects of oculofacial plastic surgery, including cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, lacrimal (tear duct) disorders, and orbital diseases and surgery. Cosmetic procedures offered include botulinum toxin (BOTOX®) and dermal filler injections, blepharoplasty, and forehead and mid-face lifts.

Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Weinberg is also a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. He co-founded the New England Oculoplastic Society and served as president for over 10 years. Dr. Weinberg has lectured at numerous medical meetings, co-edited a book on blepharoptosis, and has authored many publications.

He lives in Concord with his wife, Rebecca. They have 2 daughters, Elena and Sara, and a son, Jonathan.

Amanda Geary, OD

Dr. Geary graduated from Saint Michael’s College in 2011 and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2016. Her training included internships at the Veteran’s Affairs hospital in Manchester NH, the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as various other specialty clinics and community health centers in the city of Boston.

Dr. Geary practices Primary Care Optometry with a special interest in contact lens fitting.

In addition, Dr. Geary received the William Feinbloom Low Vision Award for aptitude in clinical care of Low Vision patients and has worked with multiple low vision specialty practices and doctors. Dr. Geary is part of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Dr. Geary is a New England native and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two dogs.

Jacqueline R. Rheault, OD

Dr. Rheault received a Bachelors of Science degree in biology in 1992 from Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts. She received a Doctor of Optometry degree from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 1996. Her training included internships at the VA Hospital in Portland, Oregon, and Manchester, New Hampshire in 1996.

Dr. Rheault practices Primary Care Optometry with a special interest in contact lens fitting including hard contacts, soft contacts, bifocal, and disposable contacts.

In addition, Dr. Rheault has made volunteer trips to Chetumal, Mexico in 1995 and Merida, Mexico in 1996 to work with the local people providing optometric care. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Dr. Rheault resides in Bow with her son Aden.

Olga Stetsyuk, DO

Dr. Olga Stetsyuk is a board certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma, cataract, and anterior segment diseases of the eye. She performs a range of surgical procedures, including complex cataract surgery, sutured intraocular lenses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, trabeculectomy, glaucoma tube shunt surgery, pupilloplasty, iridodialysis repair, and laser treatment for glaucoma, narrow angle, and secondary cataract.

Dr. Stetsyuk graduated summa cum laude with Honors from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. She obtained her medical degree at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. After a surgical internship at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in New York, she completed residency training in ophthalmology at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, where she served as Chief Resident. During residency, Dr. Stetsyuk also earned a Masters of Medical Education degree and was involved in clinical and didactic education of medical students and residents. Following residency, Dr. Stetsyuk completed a surgical fellowship in glaucoma, cataract, and anterior segment at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Stetsyuk was born in Ukraine, immigrated with her family to the United States at the age of three, and grew up in Manchester, NH, where she currently resides with her family. She is an avid pianist and enjoys long road trips, photography, rainy days, and being a part of her local Ukrainian church community.

Glaucoma Specialist

Catherine Marando, MD

Dr. Catherine Marando is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist and glaucoma surgeon specializing in medical and surgical treatment for glaucoma, cataracts, and general eye disease. She performs a wide range of routine and complex surgical procedures including, but not limited to, cataract surgery, selective laser trabeculoplasty, laser iridotomy, minimally invasive goniotomies and stents, trabeculectomy, tube shunt insertion and revision, bleb revision and needling, and cyclophotocoagulation. Treatment plans are tailored to the needs of each patient and include options such as medical therapy with drops, lasers and surgeries.

She completed her ophthalmology residency and glaucoma subspecialty fellowship training at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Harvard University. During her residency and fellowship, she published two textbook chapters, seven scholarly articles, and provided editorial services for two notable academic journals. She also served as an Advocacy Ambassador in Washington D.C. for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and currently holds active memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Chandler Grant Glaucoma Society, and the American Glaucoma Society.

She graduated Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) with a distinction in research from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. During medical school, she used multiphoton microscopy to analyze ocular anatomy and discovered novel anatomical attachments in the pathway for fluid drainage in the eye. Prior to that, she completed her biomedical engineering undergraduate degree at the University of Rochester and graduated Magna Cum Laude with memberships in the Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi honor societies. Between college and medical school, she spent a year abroad at Imperial College London as a distinguished Whitaker Bioengineering Fellow investigating mechanobiology in glaucoma. It was this experience that fueled her passion for the intricacies of eye biology and, specifically, glaucoma.

She lives in New Hampshire with her husband Andy and their son James. They enjoy gardening, hiking, cooking, and spending time together as a family.

Kalla A. Gervasio, MD

Dr. Kalla Gervasio is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained oculofacial plastic surgeon. She specializes in all aspects of oculofacial plastic surgery, including cosmetic eyelid and facial rejuvenation surgery, reconstructive eyelid surgery, lacrimal (tear duct) disorders, eyelid lesions and skin cancers, eyelid malpositions (ptosis, ectropion, entropion), eye removal surgery (enucleation, evisceration, socket reconstruction), thyroid eye disease, blepharopasm and hemifacial spasm treatment, and orbital diseases and tumors. Cosmetic procedures offered include botulinum toxin (BOTOX®) and dermal filler injections, upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty, and endoscopic forehead/brow and mid-face lifts.

Dr. Gervasio was raised in Washington Crossing, PA in the Philadelphia suburbs. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Classical Studies and a Civic Scholars certificate. After college, she spent a year conducting public health research for the Trenton Health Team, Inc. a nonprofit organization in Trenton, NJ. She then went on to medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City where she graduated Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) with a distinction in research.

Dr. Gervasio remained in NYC for a transitional year internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She then completed her ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital where she served as Chief Resident and was selected to be the text editor for the 8^th edition of the Wills Eye Manual. She stayed at Wills Eye Hospital for a one-year fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology. She then completed an additional two years of oculofacial plastic surgery fellowship training certified by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) with Dr. John Holds at Ophthalmic Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery, Inc. and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Gervasio is also a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. She has previously presented her research at national meetings, authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and co-founded the Journal of Narrative Visions (JNV), an online journal for narrative medicine pieces related to optometry and ophthalmology.

Dr. Gervasio resides in New Hampshire and enjoys spending time with her family, watching Philadelphia sports, traveling, and playing tennis.

Gena Worley Deckelbaum, OD

Dr. Deckelbaum received her Bachelors of Science degree in 1999 from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She received a Doctor of Optometry Degree from Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry in Ft. Lauderdale, FL in 2004. Her training included internships at Aran Eye Associates in Miami, FL and Eye Centers of South Florida in Dade and Broward County, Florida in 2004, where she also received the Excellence in Ocular Disease award.

Dr. Deckelbaum practices Primary Care Optometry with a special interest in contact lens and myopia control.

Dr. Deckelbaum has practiced optometry in California, New York,  and Florida before moving to New Hampshire.  Dr. Deckelbaum resides in Dunbarton, NH with husband and two daughters. She enjoys baking, Pilates, skiing and spending time with her family.
