Update March 20, 2020

Effective Monday, March 23, 2020, both of our locations will be seeing emergent cases only, at least for the next two weeks. Non-emergent surgeries will also be cancelled for at least the next two weeks. We understand that this is an inconvenience, but we have determined it to be in the best interest of our patients, staff, and community in order to help contain the spread of COVID-19. If you are affected by these cancellations, please be patient with us as we work to get all appointments and surgeries rescheduled in a timely manner.

The Hospital Campus Optical Shop will be open Saturday, March 21 from 8-12 and then will no longer be open on Saturdays until after Labor Day. Additionally, for at least the next two weeks, the Optical Shops will only be open from 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday.

Important Notice

We understand that this is a concerning and unsettling time, and Concord Eye Center is committed to keeping our patients and staff safe as we follow and learn more about the Coronavirus. The following is the protocol that we have put in place. We ask for your patience, cooperation, and understanding.

When scheduling appointments for new or established patients, our call center staff is required to ask if you have traveled or been in close contact with someone who has traveled by air (international and domestic), or if you have experienced fever, cold or flu-like symptoms in the last fourteen days. If you answer “YES” to any of the previous scenarios, the appointment must be scheduled at a minimum of two weeks (14 days) following the initial phone call.

If you call with an ocular emergency and are experiencing cold/flu-like symptoms, we will check with your routine provider or the provider on-call prior to scheduling you.

If you have already been seen by your PCP and have the above symptoms, our providers will make a decision at their discretion.

Front desk staff members are required to ask each patient checking in if you have traveled by air (international and domestic) or been in contact with someone who has traveled or if you have experienced any cold or flu-like symptoms in the last fourteen days.
If “YES” – you will need to reschedule your appointment for a future date.
If “NO” – It is ok to check you in per usual.

If you have questions regarding this policy, please contact us at 603.224.2020.

“I took my son to see Dr. Morse when he was about four and a half. My husband and I have no vision issues, so we were really in uncharted territory. Dr. Morse and the Concord Eye Center staff were so forthcoming and honest with information and that was so important for us. This was all new and we really needed all the support we could get. Dr. Morse has been really great – taking the time to explain everything to us. Cal was very nervous about having glasses but once he got them, he could see so much better that he forgot all his nerves and just took to them. We have just felt very comfortable with Dr. Morse and are grateful for the care she’s given our family.”

“Dr. Wasserman knew when it was time for me to consider surgery and I liked that he didn’t rush it, that he was really looking for things to get to a point where surgery made sense. When he said it was time, that surgery could really help, we scheduled it. I felt comfortable with Dr. W and with the procedure – I knew I was in good hands and that I’d be fine. It all went very smoothly. My life has improved so much since the surgery – I love that I really don’t need my glasses all the time anymore – I don’t need them for driving or distance. I didn’t realize the cataracts were that bad – I am so happy it’s done!”

“I’ve been an eye surgeon in Concord for 22 years and have performed hundreds of surgeries for my patients. I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to hear them tell me how their sight has been enhanced and their quality of life improved. My favorite day of the week is my surgery day. My second is the next day when I get to hear the “wows” and see the smiles on patients’ faces. I think that’s what’s been my greatest pleasure in serving the people of Concord and the surrounding towns since 1994. If you have been noticing changes in your vision, I’m proud to recommend that you give us a call.”
